KG2 Educational Field trip to Kumasi Zoo

On the 1st of June 2023, KG2 students from Riverside Academy had a delightful educational excursion at Kumasi Zoo. Accompanied by their class teachers, Juliana Yakubu and Precious Amandi, Sir Victor, and Mr Kyei Baffour, the students were warmly welcomed by a tour guide upon arrival.


During the excursion, the students had the opportunity to observe several exotic animals such as donkeys, snakes, elephants, gorillas, and monkeys. The tour guide provided insightful information about each animal, highlighting the significance of wildlife conservation.


The students were captivated by the various animal species encountered at the zoo. They were amazed to see them up close and personal and had the opportunity to learn about their habitat and behavior from the tour guide. The monkey and gorilla habitats particularly caught their attention.


The students actively participated during the excursion and asked the tour guide numerous questions. The practical learning experience gained from the excursion will go a long way in enhancing their appreciation for wildlife conservation.


In conclusion, the KG2 students of Riverside Academy had an educative and enjoyable excursion to Kumasi Zoo. The school extends its appreciation to the tour guide and the management of Kumasi Zoo for their warm welcome and hospitality. The excursion was a great success, and the students left with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
