On Saturday, April 29, 2023, one of our students, Nhyira Vanderpuye of Basic 5, participated in President's Cup National Swimming Championship hosted by Ghana Swimming Association in Accra. Nhyira competed in various heats and events. She won the bronze medal in her age category.
The competition was fierce, with participants from different regions and swimming clubs. Nhyira swam with great determination and was able to maintain a steady pace throughout the race. She excelled in her events and clinched the overall third-place position.
The bronze medal that Nhyira won is a testament to her hard work and dedication to swimming. She has been training for this competition for several years at Kosados Arena Hotel swimming pool in Kumasi, and her commitment to the sport has paid off.
Nhyira’s achievement is a source of pride for our school. It shows that our students can achieve great things when they set their minds to it. We are proud to have such a talented and dedicated student in our school.
We would like to congratulate Nhyira on her achievement and wish her all the best in her future endeavours. We would also like to thank her swimming coach and parents, who have worked tirelessly to help develop her swimming skills.
