On 15th August 2024, Riverside Academy proudly participated as a core school in the Edify Christ-Centred Education Conference, held at the University of Professional Studies, Accra. The event, themed “Shaping the Future: Value Systems in Education,” gathered educational leaders from across the country to explore the critical role of values-based education in shaping future generations.
Representing Riverside Academy were Joel Kwaku Abeseabe, the School Business Manager, and Isaac Fianyo, the Deputy School Chaplain. Both engaged in key discussions and breakout sessions, contributing to the ongoing dialogue about the integration of Christian values in modern education and how to foster a learning environment that develops students both academically and spiritually.
The conference featured distinguished speakers such as Apostle Professor Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua, Vice Chancellor of Pentecost University, who delivered the keynote address, and Elder Professor Samuel Antwi, Dean of UPSA Graduate Business School, who shared valuable insights on education leadership and values. Their contributions emphasised the need for holistic education that fosters strong moral and ethical foundations in students.
The conference provided an opportunity for Riverside Academy to strengthen its partnership with Edify, an international organisation dedicated to supporting Christ-centred education worldwide. The insights gained from the event will further enhance the Academy’s commitment to nurturing ethical leaders of tomorrow, grounded in Christian principles and equipped to make a positive impact in society.
