Riverside Academy is thrilled to announce a generous act of philanthropy: the presentation of over 300 age-appropriate story books to its Nyansapo Library. This incredible contribution was made by Mrs. Mercy Okrah, a dedicated French teacher at Kahla Middle School in the Cyfair School District, USA. Mrs. Okrah, the grandparent of four children enrolled at Riverside Academy, chose to support the school by enriching its educational resources.
The Nyansapo Library, named after the Akan word for "wisdom knot," embodies the core values of knowledge, learning, and wisdom that are central to Riverside Academy's mission. The library serves as a critical resource for students, offering a wide array of books and materials that support academic growth and personal development.
The donation was made on behalf of Kahla Middle School. The new collection will significantly enhance the Nyansapo Library, providing students with a diverse range of reading materials suited to various age groups and interests.
Esther Abeseabe, representing Riverside Academy, gratefully received the books on behalf of the school community. The handover ceremony took place on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, and was attended by a group of enthusiastic Junior High School students. The students eagerly participated in the event, expressing their excitement and gratitude for the new additions to their library.
"We are incredibly grateful to Mrs. Okrah for her generous presentation. These books will undoubtedly inspire and engage our students, cultivate a deeper love for reading and learning," said Esther Abeseabe during the ceremony.
The school community extends its heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Mercy Okrah and Kahla Middle School in the Cyfair School District, USA for the thoughtful and impactful contribution.
