Riverside Academy has now collected and recycled a total of 12,033 plastic bottles, which is equivalent to 120 kilograms of PET plastic. This effort is helping to reduce waste and protect the environment. Today, during our second collection, we gathered an additional 6,002 bottles, building on our first collection of 6,031 bottles just two weeks ago. These plastic bottles will be repurposed into useful products such as plastic chairs, dustbins, and gallons, making a significant contribution to

sustainability.

This success is the result of a whole-school approach, with students, parents, teachers, and even members of our neighbouring community working together. The impact has been phenomenal, not only in the number of bottles collected but also in raising awareness and responsibility for environmental care.

As part of the Edify Community Transformation Project, Riverside Academy is taking the lead in sustainable practices.

By making recycling a shared effort, we are demonstrating that collective action leads to meaningful change.

Guided by the scripture “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” – Psalm 24:1, we remain committed to protecting the environment.

This is just the beginning. With continued teamwork, we can create a lasting impact. Let us keep pushing forward!
