We are thrilled to share a major milestone in our Plastic Bottle Recycling Project, part of our ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship as part of the Edify Community Transformation Project. In just 14 days, our school community collected an incredible 6,031 plastic bottles, which have now been sent to the recycling plant. These bottles will be repurposed into practical products like plastic chairs, dustbins, and gallons, contributing to a greener, cleaner future.
This achievement highlights the power of collective action. The zeal and unity of our students, parents, and staff truly made this possible. Our efforts are in line with the Edify Community Transformation Project, which focuses on empowering schools to lead environmental initiatives that create lasting change. This project encourages collaboration and innovation, and Riverside Academy is proud to be part of it.
Joel Abeseabe, our School Business Manager and Project Lead, expressed, “This project is a true reflection of teamwork. Our school community’s enthusiasm and commitment to making a positive environmental impact have been inspiring. It is a reminder of what we can achieve when we come together for a common cause.”
Melissa Agyepong, a passionate member of the project team, shared, “It has been amazing to see how much we have accomplished in such a short time. The energy from everyone involved shows how much we all care about our environment, and it fills me with hope for the future.”
