Teens Aloud Foundation, Knust Chapter and Riverside Academy's Young Discipleship Class held an outreach program at the school called J-Reach (JHS outreach) program. The non-denominational Christian group collaborated to challenge teenagers in using their talents for God. The event was filled with various activities such as ice-breaker games, creative ministrations in dance, and an Aloud choir ministration that brought joy to the students.
Miss Juanita Eunice Quarcoo, a 1st-year Aerospace Engineering student and Teen-builder, delivered an encouraging sermon titled "I Am Not Like Them." She based her message on Roman 12:2 to inspire the kids to stand out and shine in a world that follows a particular pattern, instead of conforming to it.
Consequently, the organizers of the outreach program arranged counseling sessions for learners. During the counseling sessions, the team worked with the learners, interacting with them, and providing career guidance and advice.
It was a colorful and musical session. Kids beamed with smiles as they learned to revere their maker. The event had old students, Nana Boatemaa Oppong and Nana Mana Osei Tutu, as part of the team. Nana Boatemaa Oppong, a former president of the group, was available to offer insights from being in the group.
The Director's of the school, Mr. and Mrs. Abeseabe, expressed gratitude to the team for organizing the outreach event. They encouraged the team to learn hard as they pursed higher education whilst incorporating religious outreach as part of their routines.
Additionally, the school presented a generous donation to the Teens Aloud Foundation, KNUST Chapter to support their activities. The donation was a gesture of appreciation for the group's commitment to helping teenagers channel their abilities towards promoting godly causes. The donation would help the organization to further their outreach programs and make a bigger impact in the lives of young people in the community.
The J-Reach program was not just an outreach program; it was an inspiration for all learners to channel their talents and abilities towards promoting godly causes. It is hoped that the students who attended would continue to seek ways to improve their lives and carry out good works that would bring glory to God.
